The picture to the left is something just about everyone is probably familiar with, it’s the famous blue video wall used in the popular TV show Jeopardy.  When I was a kid I remember thinking how cool this video wall looked.  Well multiple monitors and video screens such as this are popping up all over the place these days.  Flipping through channels the other day my significant other actually pointed out just how common it is to see either giant screens or multiple monitors.  In fact, we were watching NBC’s “The Biggest Loser” and saw that they now use multiple monitors during the famous weekly weigh-ins.  It’s a recurring theme that is probably only likely to grow, as these screens add a futuristic appearance to nearly any show.

NEC just has one of those brands that everyone seems to trust.  They’ve been around forever and everyone knows their name.  In fact, they were one of these first brands to offer up an LCD display a year or more before some of the other popular brands got in on the trend.  That’s why when they came out with NEC multisync LCD large screen display I got really excited.  This is one of a few of the major producers out there than can be combined with up to 100 other LCDs to make a multi-screen video wall.

There are a few features that I really appreciate when it comes to NEC, the first of which is the fact that it’s high-bright, professional grade panel gives a really charming display that’s bound to grab the attention of anyone looking in the right direction.  In fact, this display is about 130% brighter than previous generations of NEC’s displays, but it only consumes about 37% more power.    This brightness is part of what creates such a captivating image.  It comes with Digital Signage Technology Suite, which is great for setting up both indoor and the tougher outdoor displays that can be very demanding because of all the ambient light.

Thanks to NEC’s Tile Matrix technology, you can setup up to 100 of these displays considerably easier than without this technology.  This means that building your video wall in rather easy.  It doesn’t take a lot of specific know-how to put them together.  It’s also worth noting that third-party components are easily integrated, because there are plenty of expansion slots.    You can even add on speakers, a tuner (digital) and stands.  NEC also has a wall-calibrator for video wall calibration, which makes that setup much easier as well.

NEC has been around for a long time, which is why they are a trusted brand, especially when it comes to video wall technology.  They are well known as the leader of powerful video walls and the NEC X461HB 46” Screen is another prime example of why they are the leaders.

Video Walls in Clubs and Discothèques Around the Globe

Most normal people enjoy going out, especially young people.  And one thing that is making their adventure to the club more exciting these days is the use of extensive video walls all over the club.  These screens add a level of excitement to their experience that is completely new to this generation.  It enables owners to show powerful, sexy and fun images that club goers are bound to appreciate.  Running a dance club can be a fickle business.  Next to restaurants they are one of the most likely businesses to go under.  The reason?  Club goers are often looking for the latest and greatest thing when it comes to a dance club and having powerful video technology could be exactly what they are looking for when they go out to the club.

Check out this video wall from a popular club in the Dominican Republic called Camus Glam Club.  When they combined this 3×3 video wall with the more traditional lights and sounds of the club, they became an instant hit.  They’ve got the right tunes, and now the have the right visual effects to go along with the music.  This drives club goers in by the dozens to pack the dance floor and get wild.  They use stunning, bright and captivating images as well sometimes live footage from the club to keep the party happening.

Something that we’re seeing a lot more of recently is a large screen like this 3×3 behind the DJ.  I like this setup.  It creates cool imagery when the dance floor is packed, with an almost silhouette of the DJ.  It’s a neat way to light up the DJ booth, entertain guests and more.

Club Oro, which is located inside of the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana, is a prime example of exactly how video wall technology should be used.  They use giant LED screens that show off like sized Tron like images dancing the night away.  It’s an awesome effect and adds a real edge to the club.  If you check out this club, the LED video wall is definitely going to be one of the first things that you notice as soon as you walk inside of the club.

Check out these awesome video screens that literally surround you inside of the Love Hemisphere Jazz Club.  They are well known for their amazing music, friendly people and the fun times that they help create.  These video walls are part of that atmosphere that likely brings people back again and again.  And from everything I’ve read, once you check out the Love Hemisphere Club, you’ll be going back over and over.

I love what these guys did, completely breaking outside of the traditional video wall ideas, and create a video wall tree of sorts.  The neat thing about this club is that it’s located at Atlantis Paradise in the Bahamas and is exclusively for teens.  It’s called Crush and it’s decked out for the millennials with everything from video games to dancing.  They even have touch screens so that the teens can make quick requests from the DJ.  This type of style is typically reserved for adults inside swank Las Vegas style clubs, but teens can access this “No Adults” club for only $25.

This video wall is comprised of 2 sections of video walls that are 14 mm LEDs.  You kind of have to look hard to see it in the background, they are designed to blend in rather than stand out which is what I thought was kind of cool about this particular video wall.  But that’s kind of the theme of this club, a mega club with some very powerful lighting, , the video wall that decorates the back wall is just one aspect of this club that is really cool.  I particularly the color scheme that they have going.  This is a cool club, and one that I would almost certainly be likely to check out if I found myself in the area.  You probably should too.

The foundry club, located in England, is know for having 140 LED panels that light up the entire club.  It’s one of the brightest clubs that I’ve been in and the imagery really make the place pop.  It creates an exciting element to the whole club that you might not find elsewhere.  At the foundry club the panels measure a full 4.5 meters tall and 40 meters wide.  They dominate the club’s atmosphere and completely energize the place.  Clubs everywhere are taking The Foundry’s example and using it in their own clubs because it does really liven up the place.

Regardless of the type of club you own or run and regardless of what you thought you should do in the past, adding a video wall to your club will get those club goers jumping, which is probably why so many clubs have started adding video walls to their dance floors and bars.  The fact of the matter is that a video wall is an exciting addition to any business, but in a club it’s just a natural progression that you should be considering.  Gone are the days of a simple strobe light and a lit dance floor.  Now you need to do more, and a video wall is the perfect way to do that.

Boardroom Video Walls- More than Just Power Point

Corporate business meetings have gotten a lot more interesting over the past decade or so, because those doing the speaking do not have to rely on a poster board presentation or even a slide show.  These days it’s all about digital technology in the boardroom, which has made visiting these presentations much more interesting.  In fact, in a modern boardroom, there are custom solutions with multiple screens so that each any every member of the meeting can maximize their time in the meeting.  This is important because it means that there is less time wasted, but also that it’s easier to get your point across, so there is less confusion, less frustration and only easy to understand presentations for the board.

A prime example of this is featured the following image, as you can see, this is a state of the art boardroom and there are a couple of really cool features that I’d like to point out.  At each seat you’ll notice a screen that highlights some of the notes that others may be seeing on the main screens in the front of the room.  There are also 4 smaller monitors surrounding the main screen that can be used for a variety of reasons.  The great thing about this setup is that it isn’t that expensive or difficult to setup, and can really make a huge impact on your ability to present a strong presentation.  Making the sale, inspiring new investors, seeking additional funding for your project- these are all things that should be relatively easy because the tools are there and all you have to do is present the information.

Video conferencing is another very important feature for a modern day boardroom.  Gone are the days of a single phone in the middle of a table for a conference without visual aid.  The modern day video conference is practically as good as getting everyone together in person, because with dual screens one can be used to watch the person giving the presentation, while the other is for material being discussed.  Likewise, you can actually have multiple other people “there” with multiple other screens.  It makes the conference much better for everyone involved if you can see their pearly white smile along with hearing their voice too.  Video conferencing is the wave of the future, no question.

A modern day boardroom is full of big images and bright colors because no matter how successful you are, your mind is still captivated much the same way as a child.  Powerful images don’t’ stop being effective when you grow up and intelligent board members know this.  That’s why multiple large LED screens at the end of the board room table are going to be key to keeping your audience (however captive they may be) interested in what you have to say.  Using multiple screens, such as the ones featured below here are a powerful way to do that.

Another good example of what a boardroom screen might look like is pictured below.  I like the fact that the table here is curved a little bit making it easy to see the monster 65-inch screen at the end of the room.  While I don’t necessarily love the idea of only having one screen at the end of the room, I do appreciate the fact that it’s a very large screen, easily viewable, regardless of where you are sitting.  It’s a very elegant designed boardroom that your members will likely appreciate.

So I included the picture below here because I thought it was awkward and kind of a weird design.  The dual-screens are mounted on the wall behind half of the people at the meeting.  This works great if you’re facing the screen, but what if your facing the opposite way, are you just out of luck?  It would appear so.  Not sure who is responsible for this design, but I can say that it looks obnoxious and just rather annoying.  It’s a bizarre design that no one should have approved in the beginning, but it would appear that someone did, and forever reason it got built.  I wouldn’t suggest this design to anyone though.  It’s a horrible design and shouldn’t be used.  Period.

Leave it to the Germans to design one amazing board room- I love what they did here, they used a large video screen in the center of the room but have smaller chairs/desk so that members of the meeting can arrange in any way that they see fit.  This is a super slick design that everyone should take notice of and appreciate,  as it’s very sharp and bound to grab attention.

Check out this ultra-modern 2×2 video wall in this sleek and stylish meeting room.  I love what they’ve done here, because they’ve essentially taken 4 screens and used the ultra-thin bezel to create one giant screen.  But if the need arises, you can use these screens as individuals as well.  That’s ultra-sharp.  It’s the perfect way to display a videoconference or to have meeting materials displayed.  This is what a boardroom should look like at this day in age.  It’s very sharp and this style of video wall/video screen is a huge advantage in your boardroom.

Here’s another example of how an actual video wall can be used in a boardroom, this one is 6×3 though, giving you an even greater advantage.  In the demo you can see that newsreels are being played, as well as other imagery.  You can also hold a very large videoconference as well.  Setting up a video wall like this is pretty easy with the use of stand-alone video wall controllers, such as iVuProExtreme4vs.  It’s almost as simple as mounting your monitors and plugging in a few wires.  The configuration takes only a few minutes and you can program these device to remember various setups, which is great for remembering which application that you want to use it for, depending on a which situation you may be using it for in the future.  That’s probably what I like about this style of video screen within a boardroom the most.  Usability is at an all time high.

Regardless of how you decide to setup your boardroom, a strong video presence is a must.  That’s why the above examples should be seriously considered.  Having the right tools in your room can make all the difference when you’re pitching your new idea, so it can’t be underestimated just how important having the right tools actually is.  Many executives take for granted the attention span of their perspective clients and even other officers and probably lose out because of it.  You should be aware that not having the latest technology may adversely affect business, and as such it the type of screens that you use should be taken as a very serious matter.  It’s not just a passing decision, making the wrong choice could actually cost you money, which is something you definitely don’t want to happen, so make sure you choose correctly when setting up your board room.

How Public Transportation Has Improved Thanks to Digital Signage

If you frequent public transportation, then over the past decade you’ve probably noticed something cool that seems to be an emerging trend.  Much like at other public hotspots, digital signage is starting to be incorporated into our public transportation modules as well, as way to entertain, inform and advertise to bus and train riders.  In fact, it isn’t uncommon for distance riders to have a digital sign in the back of the seat in front of them, giving them the opportunity to check out cool movies or TV shows that they select.  Sometimes it’s a pay-per-view type situation and other times it’s free.  We’re going to discuss some of the neatest examples of how this technology is being deployed and how you, the bus or train rider can benefit from digital signage on your public transportation module.

This is a pretty common scene these days.  If you ride a subway or train to work, you’re probably used to seeing screens at the front and back of the car.  These screens serve a couple of purpose.  The first objective is to display transportation information, letting riders know the next stop and other important transportation information.  The second purpose that they serve is to display advertising information.  It’s this ability to increase ad revenues that helps keep public transport cheaper than other types of transportation.

You may recognize the inside of the bus above- it’s a big red double decker bus, similar to what you would find in England (in fact that’s where this one is from) and they are using digital signage within the bus to alert passengers to the next stops that are going to be coming up soon.   If you’ve ever ridden public transportation then you can imagine how helpful this might be, especially if you’re trying to maneuver a city that you aren’t very familiar with already.  I know I’ve been traveling before and gotten on the wrong bus or train and wound up way further then I meant to go.  It’s not just embarrassing, but it can be expensive and time consuming as well.  Digital signage such as this prevents that from happening, which is nice.

I noticed digital signs like this on the outside of a bus during my last trip to New York City, and that’s precisely where this image was taken.  This has helped increase ad revenue pretty dramatically over the past few years, as it has allowed advertisers to swap out ads much easier.  It also means that more ads can be displayed, as the ads can be rotated much easier as well.  Plus it’s just fun to look at- these are high impact, colorful designed ads that really catch your attention.  It’s hard not to enjoy looking at the digital signage on the side of a bus.  It’s also been a windfall for cities like Chicago and New York that have struggled to figure out a way to keep costs down the cities bus and train riders.  Budget shortfalls are everywhere these days, so this has been a nice addition and welcomed one as well.  In addition, companies like Kraft Food will often broker deals with the city that provides heating units at bus stops for the passengers in exchange for advertising spots.  There’s no doubt that passengers have few complaints about the bus stop advertisements, so everyone benefits with these types of exchanges.

Hotel guests in the LA area may be finding things a bit easier these details, as 32 buses and 13 hotels had large digital screens installed that inform both arriving and departing guests with hotel information, flight information, airport details.  They did this for a number of reasons.  Number one they wanted to reduce high congestion for those taking the highway.  They also wanted to reduce confusion.  So what they’ve done is consolidate the airport shuttle services of 13 individual hotels.  Not only does this cut down on traffic, but it reduce emissions too by about 55 percent of shuttle trips through LAX.  Digital signage was an easy way to communicate with passengers, extending hospitality and reducing confusion.  That’s why this is such a powerful tool

Each bus that’s participating in has a 32-inch LCD that’s position inside the bus that works in coordination with audio announcements as well.  What I like about this system a lot though is that there are touch screens located at LAX and in the lobby of participating hotels.  Windows 7, selected because it features location-based services, is crucial for the GPS-triggered content, handles all the digital signage.  This means that while each bus is travelling it can provide content to the passengers based on where they are at in their journey.  It also monitors the capacity of the bus, the bus schedule (how often it will arrive, giving the DSS the opportunity to monitor individual buses as needed.

So far this strategy seems to be a success, and it’s likely that they will soon be able to expand this service to other buses and other hotels as well in the greater Las Angeles area, which means even more guest that are arriving in the area can enjoy the benefits of the digital signage and digital screens that residents have become accustomed to seeing on their buses daily.

In the next wave or generation of digital signage and large screen technology, you can expect to see more interactive displays, with more touch screen and usefulness.  Think of it this way, you’ll be able to do more and human interaction will become less prominent because artificial intelligence will take over those roles.

Here’s an interesting twist on the use of digital signs at bus stops that help keep travellers busy while the buses stop and wait for new passengers to get on or get off.  On the top of bus stops there are signs that allow you to text them and talk to them.  It’s called Bus.Tops and they are popping up all over England.  It’s a really fun and creative way to help entertain travellers.  The creativity is awesome and you can thank the Arts Council in London for the terrific idea!

Finally I want to talk about an idea for public transportation that has been around for quite some time, but is really evolving- entertainment screens in the back of the seat in front of you.  I noticed this on a Delta flight I took last year and really loved the idea.  The flight attendant sold headphones for $1 and you could plug in and watch sports, the news and various other programs.  They even had some premium shows that can only be found on HBO, which I thought was pretty cool.  Of course you had to pay a bit more for those, but still it made a 9 hour flight much more interesting to say the least.

It’s an exciting time to be alive because we are seeing technology really grow and bloom.  As the video technology becomes more interactive, I can only imagine that it’s just going to get better, so stay tuned, because you can expect great things in the future.  It’s looking bright and it only looks like we’re going up from here.  I can’t wait until the day where everything is connected, and while using public transport you won’t even need your own personal communication device (laptop, mp3 player, etc.) but instead you’ll be able to access whatever you want at a terminal, and hopefully it will remain free as a way to entice visitors to use their service.  It’s definitely exciting times we live in and I see the future as only being more exciting.

Shanhai International Airport – Video Wall of China

There are multiple airports in Shanghai, China – The Honggiao Airport and the Pudong Airport.  Both have one thing in common though- their advertising is managed by the well-known JCDecaux Momentum Shanghai Airport Advertising Company.  They are known for the more than 209 displays that they manage throughout Asia and the world.

Among other things these companies manage the type of content that gets displayed within the airport, which often includes advertising, but also includes other content as well, such as announcements from the airport authority and live TV.  One thing that JCDecaux Momentum Shanghai Airport Advertising Company does that’s kind of neat is that they arrange content in a synchronized manner.  For example they’ll have digital signs arranged in groups, that display the same information and an image may jump from one screen to the other.  Pretty cool huh?

Digital airport displays like this are becoming more and more popular as they seem to be popping up all over the globe.  It just so happens that a large number of companies also design and manufacturer their displays in China.  And China is no stranger to using technology to an advantage.  Displays of how technology is truly innovated into Chinese culture can be found all over China’s largest cities, and Shanghai is no exception to that rule.  Other cities through China are good examples as well.  This is a trend that is likely to continue too, because this digital signage technology is only going to improve.

News Room Video Walls – How America Gets Its News

We’ve all seen the progression over the years, from the somewhat cheesy green screen backgrounds, to the quite impressive video wall displays that make up our nation’s newsrooms.  Over the years the technology to bring better imagery to our newsrooms has progressed rapidly and it seems that sometimes a competition between networks to see who can have the coolest setup.  In this article we’re going to discuss some of the coolest newsroom displays.

Probably the best-known name is the news business, CNN has been fast to adopt new technology and put it to good use.  It seems during the last election there was more use of video wall screens than any other network- they must have had 5 different anchors, each using a different wall, which display some type of cool graph, chart, or other interesting number to help illustrate whatever point it was that they were trying to get across.  And this brings up a good point- that you can use these video walls to really help drive home a message.  CNN is the master at this.

Fox News, owned by Rupert Murdoch’s powerful News Corp., is another very well known news network that uses a video wall display to help get a message across to anxious viewers.  Seen here is their Washington studio, where they have a giant display behind the news desk, along with multiple other smaller monitors that are used to display various information. But if you check out their other studios you’ll see that they used synchronized monitors to help create a powerful display behind the anchor.  Pictured here is the Fox and Friends New York studio:

You’ll notice that they’ve designed these video screens to stand upright, and display their logo when they aren’t being used to display news imagery.  And here is yet another image of the Fox News Studio, where they use a powerful image cube that displays information regarding the news story that they are covering.  This creates a somewhat artsy feel to the studio too, which is kind of cool.  It really breaks up the monotony of the typical news story, it makes it much more entertaining to watch, which is what the modern 24 hour news station is going for, as opposed to the old school evening news.  There’s definitely an entertainment fact involved in modern news broadcasts.

If you look at the image below here and think, “Wow, MSNBC is all business” then I’d have to agree with you.  They use one large screen behind their anchors here to help create a depth to their stories, but it certainly lacks that artsy visually pleasing appeal that you’ve probably noticed in some of the pictures from the other 24 hours news network.  Don’t worry though, I’m sure they’ve done the market research to know that this what their audience is looking for when they watch their news

programs.  And if you look at this image, it almost looks like the polar opposite to what we saw above, as this is very artsy, warm and welcoming video wall that creates a lighted backdrop for the anchors, more than just displaying a story.  They’ve used multiple custom monitors to create a puzzle effect, which I don’t you’re going to find on any other news network.

The CBS studio in New York reminds me much more of the traditional newsroom that we grew up seeing, with a single long desk for anchors.  Immediately next to the desk you’ll notice large video screen for stories delivered with the anchor standing.  This is a high impact, high-resolution screen that undoubtedly packs a punch when the anchor is delivering a news story.  The fact that this is the only screen visible on set really echoes CBS’s desire to keep their set simple, minimalistic if you will.

I can remember watching ABC news with Peter Jennings when I was a kid, and he always had a wall of screens behind him.  The newsroom looked big and busy.  On the outside of ABC’s studio in New York, there is very much activity taking place, with a large screen and scrolling news wire.

Inside is no different either, with ABC taking the seemingly opposite approach of their CBS counterparts; they’ve used a large wall of mega-screens that sits behind the anchors.  Each anchor has their own screen that seems to swallow them up whole.  These screens are very powerful and add a lot to any news story, without question.

Probably one of the best-known studios in the world is 30 Rockefeller Place New York, NY- the Rainbow Room at NBC.  That distinct sign outside is hard to miss and is something that Tourist in the New York area always wants to see.  But the inside of the studio is common in many homes as well, as NBC is a popular news station.  They’ve changed their studio many times, but all of the most recent updates include large video walls that are part of that change.

But it’s not just the major news networks that are using large video screens inside their studios.  Pictured below is a CBS affiliate station in California that almost mimics their national news counterpart with a single large screen sitting directly behind the anchor as she delivers the morning news.

As you can see these types of video walls are popping up all over the place in newsrooms.  Here and abroad, national and local, this has become a powerful way to add powerful imagery to the news we all watch.  And it’s only going to get better, I have no doubt, because as the technology of large video walls continues to improve, so will the imagery that news networks and stations are able to use within their studios.  It likely won’t be long until hologram technology has taken over and the screens transport anchors the actual scene of the news story.  But until then we have high-impact and high resolution images that will help get the stories across better than any other time in history, so get enjoy it.

McCarran International Airport Video Wall

If you’re like me, you love Las Vegas, I’ve been there 6 times in the past 5 years and from the moment you arrive at McCarran International Airport you can just feel the electricity of excitement in the air.  It’s absolutely one of my favorite cities to visit, because everything in Las Vegas is bigger and brighter than any other city.  And that’s not just on the famous Las Vegas strip where things are bigger and brighter.  Starting in January of 2011 the largest video wall at any airport in the country sits at McCarran International Airport.

Actually, McCarran is home to 5 video walls, but the largest is a Samsung 100-screen video wall that can be found in Concourse D Rotunda.  It’s a giant display and bound to capture your attention, as it measures a total of 33 by 19 feet and is the largest of any video wall in an airport.  It proudly displays the Samsung Smart TV logo as each of the 100 screens that make up the video wall are brightly lit and create an ultra sharp image.   Because of it officials at McCarran International Airport are actually seeking a record in the Guinness Book of World Records.

According to the Director of Aviation at Randall H. Walker, “McCarran is one of the most technologically driven airports in the aviation industry.”  And he’s right; there are a number of things that make McCarran a great airport- Wi-Fi, lots of great shops, jacks and outlets for your USB and other electronic devices.  But now you can an amazing video wall to that list of things that make this airport unique.

The new screen at McCarran International is unique in that it offers up to 4-times the standard high-definition quality, and it’s expected to be a hotspot for high end advertisers like fashion, jewelry, entertainment, dining auto and events in Las Vegas and surrounding areas.    And starting this year, 2012, a new terminal will be opening and when it does the new video wall will be a prime target and will undoubtedly be even more exciting for advertisers, as thousands of passers-by will be greeted by the giant screen each day.

McCarran hands of the reigns of their airport advertising to a company called Alliance Airport Advertising.  Not only do they handle the advertising, they are also responsible for the partnership with Samsung, giving McCarran the largest airport video wall in the country.    Doug Albregts, vice president of sales and marketing at Samsung Electronic said, “Samsung is a world leader in display technology and we saw this as a great opportunity to display our product in a world-class airport that attracts visitors from around the world” and, “We are proud to partner with McCarran International Airport to showcase this state-of-the-art digital video display network.”  And he’s right, Las Vegas attracts people from all over the globe for both business and entertainment purposes and there is no better place to showcase their awesome technology.

Surveillance Equipment for Your Home or Business

Keeping your home safe and secure has become easier than ever thanks to some high tech security equipment that is now more affordable than ever.  The cool thing about this modern security equipment is that it’s rather easy to hook up, doesn’t require a lot of know how (just some common sense really) and isn’t very expensive considering how capable it is.  Back in the old days, setting up a security system would mean spending thousands of dollars, having to hire someone to run expensive wiring throughout the area you were trying to secure, and then having someone setup the security system.  Fortunately we don’t have to do that anymore.  I’m going to go over some of the neatest surveillance equipment that I think you can buy to help you figure out the perfect system for your home or place of business.

One of the best systems around is called the Night Owl system, which includes 16 channels that are accessible pretty much anywhere in the world, including from your phone or a computer with an Internet connection.  The night owl system includes 8 cameras, which can be used indoors or outdoors.  They are also night vision capable up to 45-feet, meaning that regardless of the time of day, your home or business is going to be covered.  Pre-installed with the base station is a 500-gigabyte hard drive that can record hours of video.  The cool things about this package is that it seems to be all inclusive, giving you everything you need to get hooked up right away.  I also love that you can access your video anywhere, including from your Blackberry, iPhone or Android.  This means you are always just a click away from monitoring what’s important to you.

Another great camera that can be used as part of an overall security system is the Samsung SCB-4000.  This is a high-resolution color camera that has 3D+2D digital noise reduction technology, giving you the best possible camera shot.  This is particularly important when zooming is an issue.  It also features true night/day ICR, giving you the most crystal clear image possible.

The Samsung SHC-745 is an ultra low light and high-resolution camera.  Of course, because it’s Samsung it’s a high quality camera, I think that’s just a given.  But the customized features of this model mean that it operates better in day and night conditions and give you the best possible view of your property, regardless of the time of day.

If it’s super high resolution that you are after in your security and surveillance system, then consider checking out Samsung’s SCB-3001.  This surveillance camera is all about proving the absolute best image possible.  It includes a wide dynamic range, true day and night vision, intelligent video analysis, and 2D/3D noise reduction.  These features combined give you a powerful system that creates some of the best surveillance images available.  That’s why it has become so popular recently.

The Samsung 37x Zoom is a high-resolution camera that much like the others featured above can take stunning video of your secure area, giving you control of what’s most important to you.  This camera features a 16x zoom that will allow you to take close-up shots of things that you find important or perpetrators that may have invaded your property.

There are a few things that make the Samsung SHC-737 stand among the other Samsung surveillance cameras.  Probably the most important is the embedded fourth generation DSP chip.  There are a couple of important things that this does, most importantly though it takes incredibly life-like images with as little as 0.5lux light available.  Currently the SHC-737 is deployed in places like airports, defense points, harbors, streets and industrial sites.  It’s a great piece of equipment.

For a home or work security system, a common camera to use is the SHC-735.  Why, you ask? Well the fourth generation DSP image engine features the SV-IV chipset, which is part of Samsung’s Super Vision series of cameras.  The Samsung Techwin group developed this particular series.  It’s a great setup for home, office or place of business.

The Samsung SCB 3020 is an ATM camera that is capable of taking some great images, despite its secure structure and pinhole size.  It is a motion-activated camera that displays high-resolution images.  Many larger properties actually use this model because it is so secure and because of some of the features it has.    It’s a great little camera and reasonably priced as well.  If you’re looking for an ATM style camera then I would say that this is probably a good choice for you to pick.  And because it’s Samsung, you can rest assure that the quality is there.

I like Samsung cameras, and I like the SCB-2001 because it has true color feed, with a high-resolution image.  This means a better chance of being able to identify problems while monitoring these cameras.  The Samsung SCB-2001 is a prime camera to use for nearly any security application.  In particular, you can find this camera in convenience stores, malls, and even more official destinations such as government buildings, airports, train stations and bus stations.  It lives up to its name of being a Samsung product, and comes highly recommended by other security experts as well, as they rely on this cam too.

High quality doesn’t have to mean high price and that’s what I like about the SCB-2000.  I’ve seen this camera for as little as $190, which is significantly less than even the next best model, but that doesn’t mean that quality suffers.  It includes some of the most popular features, such as motion detection as well as a very high quality DSP engine, giving you a solid image that’s good for many security applications.

As you can see there are quite a few cameras available, and these days setting up your own security system isn’t as difficult as it use to be.  The average Joe can secure his property for pennies of what you might have once paid, all while getting state of the art technology that will keep you and personal property safe.
